During the current period, the Institute received 22,400 telephone calls and 44,500 e-mails of citizens both in the call center and in text messages on its e-mail address and on the profiles, it maintains on social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
The International Cyber Security Institute (CSI Institute) informs the citizens about the actions it carried out during the period 2019 to June 2020. During the above period, the Institute proceeded with various actions, such as:
- Holding workshops in schools in order to inform students in issues of safe internet browsing,
- In the organization of live webinar and the in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic for international purpose to parents, children, but also business groups of our country related to the modern management of their companies and their protection form cyber scams,
- Educational visits of students to Institute’s offices in order to educate them on internet issues along with an educational trip to the historic center (Acropolis-Plaka-Monastiraki),
- Daily articles on internet phenomena of our times which had a huge impact on social media users with hundreds of thousands of internet users reading and then posting Institute’s articles on their profiles.
In particular, during the period 2019 – 06/2020, more than 460 requests of schools for the organization of educational days were recorded. Most of them were implemented in order to complete the requests in immediate time.
At the same time, both the Founder and President of the Institute, Mr. Emmanouil Sfakianakis and its Director, Ms. Kalliopi Ioannou, provided at the request of media, dozens of interviews on television, print and electronic media, informing the public about government issues and children protection while browsing the internet.
During the above reporting period and in particular in the context of international developments and social distancing measures, the International Cybersecurity Institute, aware of the new data and aiming at the protection of both the team and the public, continued its activities by taking all necessary measures.
At the same time, in view of the aforementioned measures, the Institute conducted dozens of live webinars through its social media page in parallel with the publications on social networks on related topics.
The experts of CSI Institute and the distinguished guests held seminars on various topics while the internet users had the opportunity not only to attend the seminars, but also to express their questions and receive real-time answers from the distinguished speakers. All videos from the online tutorials are available on the CSI Institute YouTube channel.
The members of the International Institute for Cybersecurity, during the above period, maintained their writing activity. In particular, in the period 2019 – 06/2020, hundreds of articles (approximately 650 articles) were published on the website and social media of the Institute. These are articles on a variety of topics and each one was published by name by each CSI Institute volunteer columnist.
Also noteworthy is the reference to the impact of the Institute’s page on social media, with the latter now having thousands of followers on Facebook, while the page of CSI Institute in a specific article has reached 446,600, always according to the official data of social networks.
As specifically mentioned by the CSI Institute: “Finally, we would like to express our deepest thanks to the companies that trust us and through their corporate social responsibility contribute to the organization of events throughout Greece but also to the coordination of online activities, such as the Digital Academy of Parents, the Digital Academy of Information Students actions.
